To earn your certification as a Yoga for Osteoporosis Instructor, you'll complete the following:
Attend all live sessions over the two weekends.
Participate actively in pose instruction, Q&A, and discussion.
Learn 12 key yoga poses, each taught in three levels:
- Beginner – Safe and gentle, ideal for those new to movement
- Intermediate – Adds complexity and balance
- Classic – Full expression of the pose
You'll be trained not just to perform and teach the poses, but also to assess others and determine which level is appropriate for their abilities.
During the second weekend, you'll demonstrate your ability to teach a selection of the poses.
A brief online exam will test your understanding of:
- Pose benefits and contraindications
- Bone health basics
- Teaching adaptations based on ability
