About The Study

This study is being conducted at Saint Louis University to better understand the brain activity involved in walking, balance, thinking, and speaking in individuals who have Parkinson's disease.

For Adults

Participants must be between 45 and 85 years of age and have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

Study Visits

One visit of no more than 2.5 hours each year for up to 5 years.

Care & Support

You will be compensated following completion of your study visit ($25).

Who Can Participate?
  • Adults ages 45–85
  • Diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease
  • Able to walk independently
  • Able to follow general instructions

What The Study Involves:

Completing walking, balance, thinking, and speaking tasks
One study visit per year (2.5 hours or less) for up to 5 years
Wearing a small sensor that gathers activity information for 1 week
Location: Saint Louis University campus in St. Louis, MO

Compensation & Benefits:

You will be compensated following completion of your study visit ($25). Participation includes completing walking, balance, thinking, and speaking tasks, as well as wearing a small activity sensor for 1 week between visits.
