About The Study

Children and teens who have trouble falling asleep may be able to take part in a pediatric insomnia research study. The purpose of this research study is to investigate a potential treatment to address sleep difficulties in children with insomnia. This study includes the evaluation of an investigational drug. Some participants may receive a placebo, which is a substance that looks like the study drug but does not contain active medication.

Who Can Participate?
  • Are between 2 and 17 years old
  • Have difficulty falling asleep for at least an hour on multiple nights per week
  • Have sleep issues not caused by another medication
  • Have no history of intolerance to the study medication
  • Have no known impaired liver function
  • Are not pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Have no recent drug-use findings

What to Expect:

In-person screening visit
Clinical evaluations
Blood draws and safety labs
Potential actigraphy setup and continuous wear (where tolerated and feasible)
Daily sleep diaries and questionnaires
Study medication provided at no cost
