Living with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) can be challenging. But your experiences — and your voice — can make a difference.
A new clinical trial called the PILLAR Study is now enrolling adults in the Raleigh area who want to explore additional options for managing their COPD. Participation is entirely optional, and you’ll continue using your current medication throughout.

You may qualify if:

You’re 40 or older

You were diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) over a year ago

You currently use a daily steroid inhaler

You’re a current or former smoker

You’re open to completing 8 morning visits over the next 12 months

If you choose to take part, you may receive:

Compensation

up to $2,000 for your time and travel

Study-related medical care

such as physical exams, lab work, and ECGs — all provided at no cost
