The clinical research study is looking for participants diagnosed with moderate to severe opioid use disorder (OUD). If you or someone you know has been struggling with moderate to severe OUD, you may qualify for this clinical research study.
The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of an investigational medication for adults between 18 and 65 years old who are interested in switching to a non-opioid treatment option for their OUD.
This study is designed to understand the safety, efficacy, and potential benefits of a new medication. Participants will receive study-related care, including regular visits to a local clinical research site, at no cost. All information gathered during the study will be kept confidential, and there is no obligation to participate by filling out the initial interest form.
You may qualify for this study if you:
Are between the ages of 18 to 65 years old.
Have been diagnosed with moderate to severe opioid use disorder (OUD)
Have not been on medication for opioid use for the last 3 months
Meet other study criteria as determined by the study team
Study Duration: Up to 22 weeks
Treatment Duration: Up to 12 weeks with the investigational medication or placebo
Visit Frequency: Approximately weekly during the treatment phase
